Kitchen 1: kitchen display

A kitchen display: a column per station with the oldest ticket first, items with their changes, allergies always spelled out, late and due-soon tickets written in words, a Bump button and a one-step Recall.

State

The normal view. Pick a state to see what the block shows while it loads, is empty or fails.

Open in v0 (opens in a new tab)

Installation

$ pnpm dlx shadcn@latest add @ballmac/kitchen-1

Usage

Example: kitchen-1-demo.tsx
"use client"

import { Kitchen1 } from "@/components/ballmac/blocks/kitchen-1/kitchen-1"

export default function Kitchen1Demo() {
  return <Kitchen1 onBump={() => new Promise((r) => setTimeout(r, 300))} />
}

States

Pass state and the block does the rest: skeletons that match its layout, a clear empty message, an error you can retry, and announcements for screen readers.

  • Loading

    Skeleton columns under the real heading, announced as loading.

    state="loading"
  • No tickets

    Says no tickets; emptyState sets the copy.

    state="empty"
  • Could not load

    An alert saying nothing was bumped, with Try again (onRetry). A bump that fails puts the ticket back and says why.

    state="error"

Dependencies

Use with AI

A kitchen display system. <Kitchen1 stations={['Grill','Fry','Cold']} tickets={[{ id, number: '128', channel: 'Table 12', station: 'Grill', items: [{ qty, name, mods?: string[], allergy?: string }], elapsed: 95 /* seconds, kept up to date by you */, target: 720 }]} onBump={(ticket) => Promise} onRecall={(ticket) => Promise} />. A ticket is Due soon at 80% of its target and Late past it. It keeps no clock: update elapsed from your own timer or server. With the shadcn MCP server set up (guide), ask your agent:
