Pipeline 1: deploy pipeline

One run of a deploy pipeline: the commit, each stage as a step with its status written out and duration, logs one click away, an approval gate that says who can approve, and a failed stage that offers to run again from there.

State

The normal view. Pick a state to see what the block shows while it loads, is empty or fails.

Open in v0 (opens in a new tab)

Installation

$ pnpm dlx shadcn@latest add @ballmac/pipeline-1

Usage

Example: pipeline-1-demo.tsx
"use client"

import { Pipeline1 } from "@/components/ballmac/blocks/pipeline-1/pipeline-1"

export default function Pipeline1Demo() {
  return <Pipeline1 defaultOpenId="staging" onApprove={() => new Promise((r) => setTimeout(r, 500))} />
}

States

Pass state and the block does the rest: skeletons that match its layout, a clear empty message, an error you can retry, and announcements for screen readers.

  • Loading

    Skeleton for the commit and the stages under the real heading, announced as loading.

    state="loading"
  • No runs yet

    Says no runs yet; emptyState sets the copy.

    state="empty"
  • Could not load

    An alert saying nothing was deployed or changed, with Try again (onRetry). A failed approval keeps the gate waiting and says why.

    state="error"

Dependencies

Use with AI

A deploy pipeline run. <Pipeline1 run={{ branch, commit, message, author, stages: [{ id, name, status: 'passed' | 'running' | 'failed' | 'waiting' | 'pending' | 'skipped', duration?, log?: string[], approver? }] }} defaultOpenId='build' onApprove={(stageId) => Promise} onRerun={(stageId) => Promise} />. A waiting stage shows its approver and an Approve button; a failed stage offers Run again from here. Only stages with a log are buttons. With the shadcn MCP server set up (guide), ask your agent:

Add the Ballmac UI Pipeline 1: deploy pipeline (@ballmac/pipeline-1) to this project with the shadcn MCP, then use it where it fits.

Use it for

  • A release page showing where a deploy is and what is blocking it
  • An approval step before production
