Access 1: access review

A periodic access review: each person's role and last use, Keep, Reduce or Remove with lower roles only, people idle for months flagged in words, a keep-everyone-active shortcut, progress, and a confirmation before anyone loses access.

State

The normal view. Pick a state to see what the block shows while it loads, is empty or fails.

Open in v0 (opens in a new tab)

Installation

$ pnpm dlx shadcn@latest add @ballmac/access-1

Usage

Example: access-1-demo.tsx
"use client"

import { Access1 } from "@/components/ballmac/blocks/access-1/access-1"

export default function Access1Demo() {
  return <Access1 due="Due 31 Oct" onSubmit={() => new Promise((r) => setTimeout(r, 500))} />
}

States

Pass state and the block does the rest: skeletons that match its layout, a clear empty message, an error you can retry, and announcements for screen readers.

  • Loading

    Skeleton cards under the real heading, announced as loading.

    state="loading"
  • Nobody to review

    Says nobody is to review; emptyState sets the copy.

    state="empty"
  • Could not load

    An alert saying no decisions were lost, with Try again (onRetry).

    state="error"

Dependencies

Use with AI

A quarterly access review. <Access1 people={[{ id, name, email, role, lastUsed: '3 days ago', idleDays: 3 }]} roles={['Owner','Admin','Member','Viewer']} flagAfterDays={90} due='Due 31 Oct' onSubmit={(decisions) => Promise} />. Each person gets Keep, Reduce (to a lower role) or Remove; undecided people stay as they are. Submit is off until everyone has a decision and asks first when anyone will be removed. With the shadcn MCP server set up (guide), ask your agent:

Add the Ballmac UI Access 1: access review (@ballmac/access-1) to this project with the shadcn MCP, then use it where it fits.

Use it for

  • A workspace admin's quarterly check of who has access
  • A compliance task that needs a record of every keep, reduce and remove

Not for

  • Inviting or changing one person's role; use settings or team blocks
  • A log of past changes; use audit-1
