Webhooks 1: endpoints and deliveries

A webhooks manager: endpoints with health from recent deliveries, signing secret and events, a delivery log with status codes and timing, payload and response per delivery with Send again, and an add dialog that validates.

State

The normal view. Pick a state to see what the block shows while it loads, is empty or fails.

Open in v0 (opens in a new tab)

Installation

$ pnpm dlx shadcn@latest add @ballmac/webhooks-1

Usage

Example: webhooks-1-demo.tsx
"use client"

import { Webhooks1 } from "@/components/ballmac/blocks/webhooks-1/webhooks-1"

export default function Webhooks1Demo() {
  return <Webhooks1 onResend={() => new Promise((r) => setTimeout(r, 700))} />
}

States

Pass state and the block does the rest: skeletons that match its layout, a clear empty message, an error you can retry, and announcements for screen readers.

  • Loading

    A skeleton list and panel under the real heading, announced as loading.

    state="loading"
  • No endpoints

    Explains what an endpoint is and offers Add an endpoint; emptyState sets the copy.

    state="empty" (or endpoints={[]})
  • Could not load

    An alert saying nothing was changed, with Try again (onRetry). A failed Send again and a failed add show their message in place.

    state="error"

Quality scorecard

7/7

Every applicable check passes

Measured in Chromium 153.0.8010.12 on October 19, 2026, on version 1.0.0, across 5 examples.

How we measure
  • Passed: Accessibility scan

    No serious or critical issues in light and dark, on a phone and a desktop (axe-core 4.13.0, WCAG 2.1 AA and best-practice rules).

  • Passed: Small screens

    No sideways scrolling at 360, 390 or 1280 px wide.

  • Passed: Reduced motion

    Every endless animation stops when the visitor asks for less motion.

  • Not applicable: Right to left

    Not mirrored by design: Addresses, event names, secrets and payloads are code and stay left to right inside by design.

  • Passed: Clean console

    No console errors or React hydration errors while loading.

  • Passed: Keyboard

    35 tab stops, each showing a visible change when it takes focus. 3 documented keys.

  • Passed: Loading, empty and error

    Ships loading, empty, error states, each with an example.

  • Passed: Automated tests

    Covered by webhooks-1.test.tsx.

  • For information: Footprint

    6.3 KB of source (gzip) in 1 file. Installs lucide-react.

Automated checks find a subset of problems and do not replace testing with a screen reader and a keyboard in your own app. What they miss.

Dependencies

Use with AI

A webhooks manager. <Webhooks1 endpoints={[{ id, url, enabled, events: ['order.paid'], secret, deliveries: [{ id, event, status: 200 | 500 | 0 /* no reply */, ms, time, attempt, payload, response }] }]} availableEvents onCreate={({ url, events }) => Promise} onToggle onResend={(endpoint, delivery) => Promise} defaultSelectedId defaultOpenDeliveryId />. Health (Healthy 90% or more, Some failing 50% or more, Failing, Disabled) is worked out from each endpoint's last ten deliveries. Adding requires an https URL and at least one event. Reject onCreate or onResend to show the message in place. With the shadcn MCP server set up (guide), ask your agent:

Add the Ballmac UI Webhooks 1: endpoints and deliveries (@ballmac/webhooks-1) to this project with the shadcn MCP, then use it where it fits.

Use it for

  • The developer settings of an API or SaaS product
  • Debugging why events did not arrive

Not for

  • A single webhook status tile (use webhook-card)
  • Raw logs of everything (use log-stream)
